Coastlink Conference 4-5 June 2009, Tallinn, Estonia

Coastlink Tallinn is coming up in a few weeks and it is terribly important that Ports, Shippers and Shipping Lines, support this conference which will consider collaborative aspects and cost saving measures so vital to our industries.


It would be easy for Coastlink to cancel the conference in the current climate. However that would be a negative thing to do. We MUST network and talk together; this has always been the lifeblood of the international shipping industry. When we fail to discuss issues, we cease to operate as an international industry which crosses all borders. We must start now and talk UP the economy as to do anything else will cause, not just job cuts, but severe depression in people’s mindset and motivation.

 
We intend to go ahead therefore with the conference. We are not organising it for our own good, we are planning it for YOUR benefit. Since low costs flights are available to Tallinn, the conference delegate fee is low and hotel prices even cheaper than a standard Travel Inn in the UK, it seems to us that an economic package has been achieved which only now requires your support.
