BPO lunch debate in European Parliament

On March 22, 2017, the BPO lunch debate dedicated to the topic of „Baltic ports in TEN-T network – meeting the future” will be held in the European Parliament. The debate, organized by the Baltic Ports Organization, will be chaired by Ms Merja Kyllönen, Member of the European Parliament.

The programme will focus on a variety of topics related to the financing of the development of the Baltic maritime transport sector and recent trends in the Baltic port market.

The revision of TEN-T policy has been a key issue on the Baltic and European ports’ agenda, and together with the funding possibilities of projects coming from the Baltic maritime transport industry through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) budget, will build the basis for the discussion.

Baltic’s leading position as a region for green ports will also be discussed, as well as the direction in which the Baltic port market is currently heading.

The debate will take place on 22nd March 2017 in the European Parliament, room PHS P1C051, from 12:30 to 14:30.
