The Baltic Ports Organization (BPO) would like to invite all port industry professionals to join us, as we embark on our first foray into the world of online events. Our first webinar, held on June 2, 2020, will tackle the topic of the European Green Deal in view of air emissions reduction in ports.

While the attention of every industry is undeniably focused on the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting crisis, ports are also keeping a close eye on the future and issues that will once again take center point once the dust settles.

One of these issues is climate change and environmental challenges linked to it. The European Green Deal provides a roadmap aimed at helping industries identify necessary investments and the available financing tools.

The webinar will provide an overview of key points of the initiative and opportunities it offers to the port sector, especially related to combating air emissions. Case studies and expert discussion panels will allow the participants to gain practical insight into actions taken by the port sector in order to meet environmental challenges.

On-shore power supply (OPS) solutions are viewed as one of the answers to the threat of air emissions. The webinar will feature an analysis of the state of OPS infrastructure development in the Baltic Sea region, as well as a technical presentation by one of industry leading technology providers.

The event is free of charge. It is aimed at providing a discussion platform for industry professionals, allowing them to exchange knowledge and experience.
