Freeport of Riga – a memorable venue of the event

We are very happy to invite you again to Riga. The Freeport of Riga Authority is located on the eastern shore of the Baltic Sea at the mouth of the River Daugava in the Gulf of Riga.

Both historically and geographically, the port is an integral part of the city of Riga. It occupies 11% of the territory of the city of Riga on both banks of the River Daugava and stretches for 15 km from the Vanshu Bridge in the very center of the city to the mouth of the river in the Gulf of Riga.

Its convenient location, providing the closest access to the sea from a large Eurasian land area, has made it possible for the city of Riga to become an important crossroads of trade routes and a thriving port throughout all centuries of its history.

Today, the strategically advantageous geographical location, well-developed connections for all transport modes and diverse logistics solutions provide the Port of Riga with the status of a multimodal transport hub. The central Baltic port provides access to a vast logistics network connecting Northern Europe.
