GoLNG - LNG Value Chain for Clean Shipping Green Ports and Blue Growth in Baltic Sea Region

This year, on September 7th, the Baltic Ports Conference in Trelleborg will host the event organized within frameworks of the GoLNG project, which the BPO is the consortium member. The project “GoLNG - LNG Value Chain for Clean Shipping Green Ports and Blue Growth in Baltic Sea Region” is the action co-financed by INTERREG Baltic Sea Region program, which aims to promote the potential of LNG, which is considered as the most effective solution reducing negative environmental impacts of the maritime transport.

Strict environmental regulations, including obligation to reduce emissions from vessels have been imposed by IMO MARPOL Annex VI and the sulphur directive.

The project activities aim to contribute to the implementation of the EU Clean Fuel Strategy and the EU Directive on Deployment of Alternative Fuel Infrastructure by establishing a strategic approach towards for the development of LNG infrastructure and promote its application in the transport industry. The strategy needs to be adjusted to the specifics of the industry and maintain and facilitate business partnerships, competence building and encourage new users as well as provide relevant business models for the existing and future LNG infrastructure.

Project consortium consists of the partners from Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Poland and Estonia.
GoLNG seminar is an open event hence no participation fee is charged.
