General Information

The Port of Pori is a general port handling all kind of goods. The Port of Pori consists of two harbours. In Mäntyluoto harbour project cargo, sawn goods and other break-bulk cargoes as well dry bulk is handled. There are also very good Ro-Ro facilities available, but they are not in use at the moment. Deep harbour for dry bulk and chemical harbour for oil and chemicals are situated in Tahkoluoto.  The Port of Pori has excellent lifting capacity including a 200 tonnes fixed harbour crane and a 144 tonnes mobile crane. In Tahkoluoto there is a dust minimized loading system for dry bulk. The fairways to the harbours are deep: 15.3 m fairway to Tahkoluoto and 12.0 m fairway to Mäntyluoto.  Port of Pori has the best ice conditions in Finland. Due to the lacking archipelago the fairways are easy to navigate.  Land transport connections are uncongested. A major part of Finnish industry is located within 4 hours from the Port of Pori. In the M20 Industrial Park there is 200 hectares of free space for industrial, wholesale and logistic companies in the port area and its immediate proximity.
